La tessitura di perline ha origine antichissime. Ci sono diverse tecniche:

• ll peyote è la tecnica usata principalmente dai nativi d’America, che usavano delle perline da colori che rispecchiano i colori della natura. Ad ogni colore associavano un elemento ed ogni elemento ha il suo preciso significato… ad esempio al celeste sono associati il cielo e l’aria.
• Il brick stitch, ossia la tessitura “a mattone” è la tecnica utilizzata dalla tribù degli Cheyenne ed è ancora oggi una delle più usate per realizzare splendidi bijoux dal “sapore etnico”
• L’herringbone è invece una tecnica usata principalmente dalla popolazione ‘Ndebele del Sud Africa; la particolarità di questa lavorazione è che le perline vengono tessute “a spina di pesce”.

Le tessiture di perline sono interamente realizzati con perline e risultano quindi essere anallergiche, questo è il motivo per cui spesso sono richiesti dalle clienti e sono molto apprezzate è per la loro particolarità.
